A few weeks ago, I shared that I set a big goal for myself on Facebook, but it was hidden away. Unless you read the comments when a friend asked me to clearly state the goal, you would've missed what it was. Until almost 20 days ago I had only shared this goal with family and a couple of friends. But, I finally shared it point blank & publicly with all of my Facebook friends & followers. I'll be participating in the Beacbody Classic. There. I said it. The bandaid has been ripped off :).
I'm far from being in "the best shape of my life" and I realize that this transformation is going to take time, commitment, and focus...and a lot of other things. For me, this goal is about achieving something I never thought I could do--until now. It's about breaking down a mental barrier that I've had up for years and years. It's about getting WAY outside of my comfort zone and seeing what will happen when I do. The magic always happens when I'm OUT of my comfort zone. While I'm not one to back down on a challenge, I'm not always comfortable SHARING my journey along the way. I've been asked by a few people to share my journey during this transformation. Believe it or not, sharing will actually be the biggest step out of my comfort zone. But I realize sharing my successes and setbacks will not only keep me on track toward reaching this goal, but it will help me encourage others. I'm committed stay true to my nutritarian/plant-based lifestyle (a way of eating that has exponentially transformed my health for the better) and Scott & I will be traveling to Europe in the middle of my training (an extra challenge for Kirsten Harr- The Fit Traveler ;) ). This should be fun :) :). 121 days---here we go!
