Q: Do I have to have Shakeology for Breakfast? A: You should. It starts your day off right, will give you energy and will help you stay on track for the rest of your day! Plus it is easy when you have a busy morning! Shakeology is a health food shake that replaces a meal, made from all whole foods!
Q: Can I switch around meals? For example, if I don’t like the meal scheduled for lunch today, can I eat what I had for lunch yesterday? A: Yes, but there are some limitations. As the 5 days progress, we change the meal plan up. So please only switch around meals that are within the same category. You can have dinner for lunch or vice versa, as long as it is within the same category.
Q: What if I don’t like fish or the specific kind of fish listed? Can I substitute for something else? A: Yes, I would recommend Chicken or any other type of fish is fine!
Q: How much fish should I be eating? A: Serving sizes are listed in the meal plan. Typically, women should be having 46 oz per serving, men should have 81 oz per serving.
Q: Can I eat fresh salmon or canned salmon? A: Of course! Fresh, wild caught salmon or fish is best but if you would like to use sustainable canned fish that is approved as well.
Q: Wild caught or farm raised fish? A: Go with wild caught, always!! Better taste and more natural. Farm raised fish are often times fed a diet you don’t want in your body!
Q: What if I am a vegetarian or vegan? A: They are options listed in the menu for you! If you do not eat soy, I would recommend rice and beans for your replacement of them!
Q: Can I substitute the lemon on my salad for anything else? A: You can add a little olive oil and balsamic vinegar if you want. Please avoid any premade dressings; they are loaded with toxic junk that is NOT clean!
Q: Can I drink coffee or tea? A: You can, but no creamer or sugar!!! You gotta drink it black :) Also, please limit it to 1 cup per day.
Q: Can I workout while doing the Meal Plan? A: Yes, absolutely. But just be aware that the calorie intake is lower that what you are probably used to, so take it easy and listen to your body! If you are not currently working out, I would recommend that you not start this week! Q: Can I replace the veggies/fruits in the meal plan with other veggies? A: To a certain point, the veggies/fruits in the meal plan are there for a reason, so stick as closely to the meal plan as you can!
Q: Should I buy organic? A: Yes! If you can afford it, always. If not, frozen veggies are a great option. They have been flash frozen at time of peak ripeness (to give you most benefit) while fresh veggies and fruits are picked well before ripeness and are artificially ripened. Buying organic and/or local at a Farmers market is best! If not, go to frozen! If they don’t have frozen, fresh works well too.
Q: Can I continue using this meal plan after the Meal Plan? A: Of course, but make sure you listen to your body and add more if you need it. I would also recommend chatting with your coach (the person who added you to the group) to ask about options for continuing your weight loss and fitness plan! They can help you pick the perfect program for you!
