Session Information: 101 Tails Project
Thank you!
Hi there! Thank you so much for volunteering your dog and your time to help with the 101 Tails Project. I'm excited to showcase photographs of 101 dogs and their stories of what they mean to their families in the 101 Tails limited edition coffee table book. I want to capture those goofy smiles, furry facial expressions, and happy tail-wags that make your world a better place. I wouldn't be able to do this without your help. Thank you.
I've posted some answers to frequently asked questions below to help make this process as smooth as possible.
Is there a Session Fee?

Typically, I do have a session fee, but for this special project I'm waiving the fee when you make a donation of any kind/size to a local animal shelter.
Here are some things you might consider donating: water and food bowls, toys, leashes and collars, brushes/grooming tools, pet beds, blankets, your time, and of course money.
This is a complete honor system. I won't be checking to see if you made a donation, but I truly hope you do donate because many shelters and animals are in desperate need of help.

Where Will the Session Happen?
The session will take place at my studio. The address is: 429 Idaho Springs Road, Clarksville. I'm located near Dunbar Cave State Park.
What to Bring?

Treats. I have treats in my studio that I'd be more than happy to use for the session, but if you have a certain treat that your dog likes or you'd prefer them having, please bring those with you.
I also ask that you bring a collar and leash. Although I'm able to get most photos of dogs without them, all the smells from other dogs, the lights, and my camera clicking could excite some of our furry friends, and we may need some extra help getting them to sit for their photos. And, don't worry, I'm able to edit the leashes and collars out of the photos.

How to Prepare?
The best way to prepare for the session is to bring in a tired dog...the complete opposite of children :). We want your pup tired and chill.
Also, please allow for at least 30 minutes for photos, and a little more if you're bringing more than one dog.

What Happens After the Session?

After the session, I'll process all of the photos. About a week after your session, I send you a message for a digital photo "reveal" where you'll see all images at a low resolution & copyrighted. You can then select your complimentary image (one per dog) that I'll order as an enlargement print (5x7) as a way to say "thank you," with the option to purchase more.
Can I Purchase Images?
Yes, you'll have the opportunity to purchase prints and digital images during the digital reveal. Dogs are family and it's special to have quality photographs of them in our lives. All printed images of your dog are produced in a professional photo lab.
My image prices start at $50 and go up from there. My average sale is $250.
*Please note, any images not selected by you for printing or by me for the book will be deleted 48 hours after the reveal link has been sent.

When Will the Book be Complete?

Because the book will feature the images and personalized poems of 101 dogs, it will take some time...and a few volumes. With that said, 101 Tails: Volumes I & II are already published and available for purchase. I plan on having all of the images for Volume III & IV taken by the end of summer 2019 and both books complete by November 2019. I will notify all owners when the books are complete.
Thank you, again, for your time & your help. I'm looking forward to seeing you soon!
